Narbona Pass Classic 10k in the Chuska Mountains near Navajo, NM on highway 134. I ran the 10k race on July 3. I met two old classmates there, who also ran. It was nice to see them. We could all relate to the pains and challenges that were encountered during the course. Narbona was actually a Navajo leader during the Navajo wars in the early 1800s. He defended his people and land on peaceful terms as well as through war. I’m thankful to those like Narbona who fought to keep the Navajo way of life alive. Due to that collective effort, I exist today and I won’t forget that. Zoom
